Pax 1 Vs. Pax 2
While the Pax 1 is still one of the most popular handheld vaporizers, recently its predecessor has made a few improvements and is now called the pax 2. The Pax 2 is about 25% smaller than the original Pax and features a few technological Upgrades.
Pax 2 has a new feature called lip sensing which helps the unit to more efficiently heat up as soon has it realizes your lips are on it ready to inhale.
The Pax 2 comes with four heating settings which is an upgrade from three on the original model. The new temps range from 360F -420F (~180C – 215C) compared to the original Pax with three temps ranging from 370F – 410F (~188C – 210C).
The Pax 2’s chamber is slightly smaller than the original, which means it fits a little bit less dry herbs than the original.
The battery and charging system for the Pax 2 isn’t quite as cool as its original deck, but it results in less cleaning as there is less build up from having the unit sitting upside down on the original dock. Basically, the original charges on a dock and the new one charges with simple usb cord.
